  • Longitudinal Stability: A forklift’s longitudinal stability is its resistance to overturning to the rear or front when decelerating or accelerating quickly. If you’re accelerating up an incline quickly, you need to know the forklift’s longitudinal stability. Any quick shifts in direction can lead to poor weight distribution.
  • Moment: This calculation involves multiplying an object’s weight by the distance from the fulcrum. You can use this measurement to find out how far you can lift an object without overturning.
