Every year, Quality Material Handling and the Pinto family find a way to show appreciation for our community and its people. We know our company wouldn’t be where it is today without dedicated hard working employees, supportive friends and community, and the safety and security provided by our local Azusa Police and Fire Departments. QMH and the Pintos have had the privilege of being members of the Azusa community for over two decades, and received nothing but love and support from our neighbors and local authorities.

The police department is extremely courteous and readily available for us at a moment’s notice, which has allowed us to confidently rely on their public service for so many years. The safety and comfort provided by Azusa Police is only matched by the Azusa Fire Department, which most recently helped fight wild fires in the Azusa Canyon. These heroes help keep our community safe and uphold the values that we as Americans cherish, and that helps us keep our business going! We do everything we can to give back and thank them for all they do – whether it’s providing them with materials such as lockers and boltless shelving for their facilities, or good food and fun.

We held the first event of its kind in our company’s history in 2015 when we arranged a surprise delivery from the local “Taco Man” to treat our friends in uniform to the deliciousness of some authentic spicy tacos! It was a tremendous success as we all came together to enjoy some of the best tacos in all of California. This year we decided to mix it up a bit, so we reserved a 70-foot In-N-Out truck to serve hundreds of simply amazing burgers and refreshments. This year’s event is extra special for many reasons. With the Azusa Police Chief retiring, QMH’s founder Hector Pinto has been elected to be President of the Azusa Police Foundation. Hector and the Pinto family are very grateful for this honor, and our In-N-Out event is just a small token of our appreciation.

The Azusa Community and local authorities aren’t all we’re celebrating. We’re also rejoicing for the fact that our staff has completed sixty days without incident or injury. As business owners, it is our duty to protect and preserve our employees’ welfare. When our employees are happy and healthy, we can take pride in pushing our business toward further milestones and achievements.

Another great cause for celebration is that 2016 marks QMH’s 25th year in business! The company has had a long, eventful, and exciting journey – and we look forward to another 25 years of growth and success for our business and employees. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such great family, friends, coworkers, employees, law enforcement, and community – and we hope that this event is one of many to come, as our way of giving some good back for all the good we receive.
